Manchester - Alternative Provision
Apex Specialist Education - Strive Academy Partnership:
We are pleased to announce that Apex Specialist Education will be establishing a dedicated centre within Strive Academy’s excellent premises at Unit B, Aldow Enterprise Park, Blackett Street, Manchester, M12 6EJ. This collaboration allows us to offer a unique blend of academic and vocational education under one roof, designed to meet the diverse needs of KS3 and KS4 students facing behavioural, social, or academic challenges.
Apex Specialist Education delivers a robust academic curriculum, fostering core skills in a supportive environment. We are a registered specialist school provision (rated 'Good with Outstanding Features') with extensive experience in large-scale alternative provision in Rochdale.
Strive Academy complements this by providing practical, skills-based vocational training to enhance employability and career readiness. Their newly built facilities offer outstanding opportunities to learn new skills.
Students aged 14 and above will have the opportunity to pursue qualifications in both academic and vocational subjects.
Key Features of Our Comprehensive Provision:
Full-Time Engagement: Our provision runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM–2:30 PM (5 hours daily), evenly split between academic sessions (Apex Specialist Education) and vocational training (Strive Academy).

Robust Safeguarding & Quality: We ensure full compliance with KCSIE and GDPR, coupled with rigorous quality assurance, termly progress reports, and strategic partnership meetings.
Diverse Vocational Pathways: Students can explore vocational areas including Construction, Barbering, Hair & Beauty, Occupational Studies, Music & Media, and Fitness & Health.

We are committed to clear communication, robust safeguarding, and exceptional student outcomes, with the flexibility to accommodate students with high-functioning SEND needs. We are dedicated to working closely with referring schools to support seamless transitions and continuous improvement.
