Altrincham Learning Centre is based in Unit 1 (Total Fitness), Denmark Street, Altrincham, WA14 2DE.

Altrincham Learning Centre is the newest addition to Apex Specialist Education, opening in 2025 to extend our high-quality SEMH provision across Trafford and the wider Greater Manchester region. Building on the success and extending the standards and capacity of Healey Learning Centre, Altrincham offers a safe, relational and specialist environment for pupils who require a more personalised and therapeutic approach to education.

Designed to support up to an additional 15 pupils, the centre provides a calm, structured and nurturing setting where young people can rebuild trust, re-engage with learning and make meaningful progress. Every aspect of the centre is shaped by The Apex Way — Support, Inspire, Flourish, Succeed — ensuring pupils are met with consistency, compassion and high expectations from day one.

Altrincham delivers a broad and balanced curriculum that is fully adapted to individual needs. Pupils have access to core subjects, personal development and vocational pathways, alongside specialist areas such as music technology, creative arts and practical learning opportunities. Our relationship-centred, trauma-informed approach ensures pupils feel safe, valued and supported to achieve both academically and personally.

With small class sizes, inclusive teaching, therapeutic input and strong pastoral systems, Altrincham Learning Centre provides the stability, ambition and opportunity needed for young people to flourish. Our aim is simple: to create a space where every learner can grow in confidence, discover their strengths and take positive steps toward their future.
