Higher Hillgate Learning Centre is Apex Specialist Education’s dedicated Stockport provision, created to offer high-quality, relationship-centred education for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Situated in the heart of Stockport, the centre provides a calm, supportive and structured environment for pupils who require a more specialist and personalised approach to learning.

Higher Hillgate builds upon the strong foundations established at Healey Learning Centre, mirroring the same high expectations, trauma-informed practice and commitment to meaningful progress. Designed for a small cohort, the centre ensures that every pupil is genuinely known, understood and supported through consistent relationships and a nurturing staff team.
