Whole-School Workforce Model
One Workforce Across All Learning Centres
Healey Learning Centre operates as one school with a single workforce deployed across multiple learning centres.
All staff are employed by Healey Learning Centre and form part of one integrated staffing structure. Staffing is planned and managed at whole-school level to ensure consistent standards of education, safeguarding and support across the provision.
Shared Staffing Structure
The school operates a layered staffing model:
Proprietor and Governing Board
Headteacher (whole school)
Regional Senior Leadership Team
Operational Leadership
Teaching and Support Staff
Each learning centre has operational staff to support daily provision, while leadership, specialist and support functions operate across the school as a whole.
Cross-Site Working
Many roles operate across more than one learning centre as part of normal workforce deployment. This includes senior leaders, specialist staff and designated support roles.
Staff contracts reflect the expectation of working across learning centres where required, enabling the school to deploy expertise flexibly and respond to pupil needs.
This approach ensures:
✔ Consistent teaching standards
✔ Shared professional practice
✔ Specialist expertise available across provision
✔ Unified safeguarding oversight
✔ Coordinated curriculum delivery
Professional Collaboration
Staff work collaboratively across learning centres through:
Weekly cross-site leadership and teacher meetings
Whole-school CPD
Shared planning and moderation
Safeguarding briefings
Leadership monitoring and quality assurance
This ensures that all pupils experience the same high standards of care, teaching and support.
Stability for Pupils
While staff form part of one integrated workforce, each learning centre maintains a consistent core team to provide stability and continuity for pupils.
Cross-site working supports consistency of standards without disrupting secure relationships and routines.
Leadership Oversight
Senior leaders maintain regular presence across learning centres through planned monitoring, support and quality assurance activity.
This ensures consistent implementation of school policies, safeguarding practice and educational standards across all sites.
